About this blog

About me

American curator, living and working in London. Print geek, drawings fiend, lover of all things nineteenth-century, Francophile, Anglophile (yes, both – not a contradiction in terms, I swear…), theatre and film buff, urban explorer, (extremely) amateur photographer.

About Dreams on Paper

This is a place for me to write informally about prints and drawings – my passion and my livelihood – as well as other subjects related (sometimes tenuously) to paper – books, music, drama, film, and the occasional bit of original fiction and poetry.

Oh, and the image above? It’s a detail of Nocturne in the Parc Royal, Bruxelles (1897) by William Degouve de Nuncques.

2016 update

For the foreseeable future, this is going to be a photography blog. If you’re interested in prints and drawings or any of the other topics covered above, the archives are still here for you to enjoy. Maybe I’ll return to writing more here… we’ll see!
